Amendment to Zoning Bylaw 8500 to Restrict Certain Industrial Uses with Odour-Related Environmental Impacts

Implications to existing operations in the City Should Council adopt the proposed amendment, any existing large-scale open-air composting operations and any rendering facilities in operation would be permitted to continue to operate in accordance with and subject to legal non-confmming use legislation in the Local Government Act. If existing properties with legal non-conforming uses wish to expand their operations or facilities, the proposed (additional) development may be subject to a rezoning process.
