Next Steps Should the HAP be approved, implementation of the work will be overseen by City staff with support from the project architect, heritage consultant, other technical specialists, and the Committee as required. As detailed design and deconstruction progress, refinements to the proposed reconstruction approach may be required to respond to site conditions, heritage conservation objectives, project budget, operational requirements, and ongoing input from the Committee. Budgetary Implications None. Council approved a $6.5 million capital budget for the deconstruction and reconstruction of the Building in 2023. The work will be completed within the approved budget.
