To ensure that the replacement trees are planted and maintained on-site, the applicant is required to submit a Landscaping Security in the amount of 100 per cent of a cost estimate prepared by the Registered Landscape Architect (including installation and a 10 per cent contingency) prior to DP issuance. As part of the DP application review process, the applicant is to increase the size of the proposed replacement trees to meet the minimum standard and to investigate additional planting opportunities where appropriate.
