It was Moved by Councillor Kooner Seconded by Councillor Stutt That Council: 1. Award Contract No. 1724-001-21 to BA Blacktop Ltd. in the amount of $3,975,827.08 (including GST) for Major Road Network, Arterial and Collector Paving at various locations; 2. Set the expenditure authorization limit for Contract No. 1724-001-21 at $4,380,00.00 (including contingencies and GST); and 3. Authorize the General Manager, Engineering to execute Contract No. 1724-001-21. RES.R24-377 Carried Item No. R038 Renewal of the Newton Business Improvement Area File: 4710-01 Note: See Item H.12 Bylaw in the H Section. The General Manager, Community Services submitted a report to provide Council with the results of the Council Initiative process related to the renewal of the Newton Business Improvement Area (Newton BIA) and to seek Council authorization to bring forward proposed amendments to the Bylaw for final adoption in order to renew the Newton BIA for a four-year term from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2028. It was Moved by Councillor Bose Seconded by Councillor Kooner That Council: 1. Receive Corporate Report R038 for information; and 2. Authorize the City Clerk to bring forward the "Newton Business Improvement Area Bylaw, 2024, No. 21043" for final adoption. RES.R24-378 Carried
