It was Moved by Councillor Kooner Seconded by Councillor Bose That staff assess the short-term rental market in Surrey and report back on the following: 1. An approximate inventory of short-term accommodations that may exist in Surrey; 2. Reported adverse impacts to neighborhoods, such as noise and parking complaints; 3. Potential adverse impacts to long-term affordable rental accommodation inventory; and 4. A review of best-practice approaches taken by other Cities across Canada and the United States on regulating the short-term accommodation market, including recommendations for Council's consideration to exploring implementing viable regulations."
