6. Corporate Report R103: Major Zoning Bylaw Amendments and Bonus Density "Surrey Zoning By-law, 1993, No. 12000, Amendment Bylaw, 2026, No. 22014" PURPOSE: The purpose of proposed Bylaw 22014 is to amend the Surrey Zoning By-law to align with the new Surrey 2050 Official Community Plan (OCP) and the new Amenity Cost Charge (ACC) bylaw(s) by updating the zoning structure, including the introduction of 11 new zones, the renaming and updating of 8 existing zones, and revisions to 43 existing zones. The amendments include updates to zone regulations (such as permitted uses, density, height, and subdivision, where applicable), as well as some formatting, and establish more market-responsive zones and base densities and standardized bonus density provisions to support growth and the delivery of amenities through ACCs and bonus density. The Notice of the Public Hearing was read by the City Clerk. There were no persons present to speak to the proposed Bylaw. No written submissions regarding the proposed Bylaw were received. The meeting was recessed at 8:58 p.m. and reconvened at 9:11 p.m. with all members in attendance.
