It was Moved by Councillor Stutt Seconded by Councillor Bains That Council: 1. Approve the City’s policing priorities, goals, and objectives for 2026, as described in Corporate Report R066; 2. Authorize the Mayor to provide correspondence, to the Surrey Police Board Chair and Surrey Police Service (SPS) Chief Constable outlining Council’s policing priorities, goals, and objectives for 2026; and 3. Endorse collaboration with the Board and SPS throughout 2026 to initiate a broad review of community safety priorities (entailing engagement with community members, key stakeholders, and partners) in order to further refine said priorities in support of delivering a public safety strategy for 2027, and direct the General Manager of Public Safety to provide correspondence to this effect to the Surrey Police Board and SPS.
