2026-2027 Engaging artists in the community program public art projects

Artist Paula Viitanen Aldazosa was recommended for this artist opportunity. Her proposed project, The Seasonal Circle—Talkoot, is guided by the Finnish concept of “Talkoot”, communal gatherings where people come together to build and care for shared spaces. The seasonal art-based activities will include sensory exploration of the park and collaborative art-making using natural materials and simple shared tasks that nurture a sense of belonging to a place (details are in Attachment 2).
