Application by 1135355 BC Ltd. for a Steveston Village Heritage Conservation Grant at 3891 Moncton Street

To enable a streamlined process and timely response to Planning Project Grant requests, it is recommended to amend Council Policy 5900 to allow the Director of Policy Planning to consider Planning Project Grant applications which can be up to $10,000.00 per heritage building. This would enable valuable information to be obtained as soon as possible and contribute to the technical review of proposals for restoration and rehabilitation of heritage buildings in Steveston Village. A red-line version of Council Policy 5900 showing the proposed amendment is in Attachment 5. Should Council adopt the recommendation, a revised bulletin “Steveston Village Heritage Conservation Grant Program (Planning-03)” would be posted on the City’s website. Staff will inform Council of Planning Project Grants that are awarded.
