RICHMOND ARTS FACILITIES NEEDS ASSESSMENT REPORT

Targeted arts community engagement for the Needs Assessment was conducted through 2024 and 2025, and included: • a targeted survey of Richmond’s arts community and arts facility operators, which received 102 responses; • 10 individual and group interviews involving 13 participants, including members of Richmond’s arts community, arts facility board members and operators, and Richmond School District No. 38 (SD38) staff; • review and validation of findings from a 2018 online survey of Richmond’s performing arts community; and • input from a nine-member project Steering Committee, including external representatives from key arts and cultural organizations and Tourism Richmond, to help guide the process and support meaningful engagement with Richmond’s arts community.
