1135355 BC Ltd. (Brett Martyniuk) has applied to the City of Richmond to receive a grant in the
amount of $2,200 plus taxes and disbursements from the Steveston Village Heritage
Conservation Grant (SVHCG) program. The application is for a Planning Project Grant to assist
with the cost of a structural assessment of the protected heritage building at 3891 Moncton
Street. A structural assessment would provide information to assist heritage conservation
planning for the active Heritage Revitalization Agreement (HRA) and Heritage Alteration Permit
(HAP) applications for the property (HRA 25-020157, HA 25-020154). The HRA and HAP
proposal is for additional floor space and the conservation of the building, and would be brought
forward for Council’s consideration in future. The building is historically known as the Tasaka
Barbershop. The property owner operates the Village Bikes business at the property. A location
map and an aerial photo are included in Attachment 1.
