2023 ZERO CARBON STEP CODE AND BC ENERGY STEP CODE REQUIREMENTS FOR NEW BUILDINGS

With the introduction of the ZCSC in the BC Building Code, a municipally-defined LCES requirement is no longer necessary, as the ZCSC serves that purpose. The proposed Building Regulation Bylaw Amendment for October 31, 2023 continues to utilize Step-level relaxations to provide applicants with multiple options for Energy Step Code and ZCSC compliance.
