2023 ENGAGING ARTISTS IN COMMUNITY PROGRAM PUBLIC ART PROJECTS

Artist Aaron Friend Lettner was recommended for the Sharing Fann and TeITa Nova Nature School artist opportunity. Aaron Friend Lettner is a photographer whose recent work and interest in community farming projects led him to propose a project that will focus on a variety of plant and agricultural crop species and their ability to teach vital lessons about climate change and weather patterns. The artist will lead a variety of photography-based art activities with young learners at the Terra Nova Nature School, Sharing Farm community members and the larger public as part of the Garlic Fest and Richmond Culture Days. The project will culminate in a legacy artwork to be determined and developed while working in collaboration with community partners and participants.
