Proposed Expanded Scope of Work – Imperial Landing and Britannia Heritage Shipyards
Waterlots
The original scope of work for dredging at these sites was focused on the area outside of the
docks and adjacent to the channel dredging. (see Attachment 1) Since that time, staff have been
made aware of operational impacts with sediment build up on the inside of the docks.
At low tide, both the ramps and boats at Britannia, including the Silver Ann, are sitting on mud,
and therefore are at risk of damage and are rendered inaccessible. Similarly, dredging at Imperial
Landing will provide for increased movement and moorage of boats, resulting in increased
revenues and enhanced access.
