SP 26 /1-1 It was moved and seconded That: WHEREAS subsection 54(3) of the Local Government Act, [RSBC 2015] CHAPTER 1, as amended, provides that a council may decide that a by-election is not to be held if all of the circumstances listed in subsection 54(3) apply; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to subsection 54(3) of the Local Government Act, the Council of the City of Richmond confirms the City of Richmond will not hold a by-election to fill the vacancy in the event of any Council member resignation as contemplated in this resolution.
