Parks, Recreation & Culture: The applicant has voluntarily offered to convey the riparian area (Appendix II) to the City without compensation. Parks will accept the conveyance and a restoration agreement will be required for monitoring and maintenance of plantings in the conveyed riparian area. Natural Area Considerations • Enver Creek, a Class A fish-bearing stream, is situated to the west and south of the property in a City-owned greenbelt. • A Restrictive Covenant is registered on title to protect the riparian area 10 metres from high water mark of Enver Creek onto the property. This restrictive covenant will remain on title. • The Green Infrastructure Network (GIN) Corridor encompasses about two-thirds of the property west of the site. GIN Corridor No. 95 is defined in the Bioconservation Strategy (BCS) as “moderate” in ecological value meaning it is an important habitat that enhances connectivity and supports significant wildlife communities. • The area of the proposed house construction is not expected to be a critical habitat as it does not provide good tree, shrub and ground cover.
