Planning & Development Report

RATIONALE SUMMARY
The proposed nine-unit townhouse development, which includes the relocation, adaptive re-use,
and maintenance of the Currie-Johnson House as a dwelling unit, received conditional approval
on September 9, 2024. Staff support the proposed amendment to HRA Bylaw, 2024, No. 21325, to
facilitate the replacement of exterior wooden windows with vinyl replicas on the east and south
facing elevations of the Currie-Johnson House because these elevations are not highly visible from
60 Avenue or 173B Street and the impact to the heritage value of the house is negligible.
