Wharves Regulation Bylaw No. 10182 Update and Amendments

The Bylaw introduced 60 potential fineable offenses for which Bylaw Officers may issue fines. Since its adoption, the City has received 12 calls for service, which have been opened and investigated. The majority of these calls relate to vessels exceeding the maximum three-day stay permitted under the Bylaw. Each call required attendance to the wharf and contact to be made with vessel owner, as owners are not always on board multiple visits are often required. With a continued presence, the majority of vessels chose to depart with no further enforcement action needed. To date, two tickets were issued to the same boat owner
