Two new metal shipping containers are proposed to be installed at the north side of the property and painted Oxford Ivory to match the building. The sizes of the containers are 10 ft. by 8 ft. and 12 ft. by 8 ft., and both are 8 ft. 6 in. tall. These will replace all other sheds and containers on the property, which will be removed. With the addition of the ramp access, the location of the two containers will necessitate an encroachment of approximately 3.1 m2 into the undeveloped City lane at the north side of the property. The applicant also proposes to relocate the garbage and recycling containers. The garbage container can be fully located on private property but the recycling container is proposed to encroach approximately 3 m2 onto City property due to limited space. These encroachments can be permitted through the execution of a licensing agreement between the society and the City, which will also include and formalize existing, historical encroachments of the access ramps on the south and west sides of the building. The terms of the licensing agreement will include permitting the use of the City lane for the purpose of installing, managing and using the two storage containers and a recycling bin with a nominal fee. The applicant will be required to enter into a licensing agreement prior to the issuance of a building permit inspection granting final occupancy.
