Grace Tsang is a Certified Financial Planner, business owner, community leader, and former Richmond School Trustee. She served three terms from 2005 to 2014, including one year as Vice-Chair, and has decades of experience in Rotary, Youth, media, and community service. Grace immigrated from Hong Kong to Canada with her parents in 1975 and has called Richmond home since 1993. If elected, Grace will: 1. Support safe, legal rental suites and owner-occupied short-term rentals under a “neighbourhood-protection rule.” 2. Adopt a Richmond “3-3-3-1” housing approval policy: three days for minor renovations, three weeks for detached homes, three months for multi-family and mid-rise projects, and one year for high-rises. 3. Create a one-stop municipal hub to streamline business licences and permits. 4. Hold monthly meetings where councillors meet residents and provide city updates. For Advance Richmond’s full platform, please refer to the statements of its councillor and school trustee candidates.
